There’s something about snow in Julie and Luke’s relationship. The day Luke proposed to Julie (at the very same cabin where we shot their engagement session), it snowed. The day that they moved in together, it snowed. The day of their engagement session, it snowed.
For their engagement session, we drove up to Luke’s family cabin outside of Nederland. It’s situated on a tree-covered hillside with beautiful views of Glacier Lake. His grandfather built it around 1920 and it’s been in the family ever since. We were able to use it as a base while we hiked around the property, ducking back inside from time to time to warm up and dry off by the fire.
Julie and Luke, thank you so much for opening up your cabin to me and for braving the elements for these photos. Something tells me that if it ends up snowing on your wedding day, it won’t be a big deal. In fact, it might be a bit of a disappointment if it doesn’t!
