Holly and Carlo are one of those couples who just feel right. Their personalities compliment each other and you can tell that they care deeply for one another. As you can see in the photos, Holly just couldn’t stop smiling throughout the session. It’s true that she’s a very positive and upbeat person, but I think the main reason she was smiling was simply because she was hanging out with Carlo. And Carlo might look like he was playing it cool, but the entire time we were together, he hardly kept his eyes off of Holly. When you’re with them, you know that they just click.
Since they’d lived in the Mission District for years, that’s where we decided to do their engagement session. We met up at a neighborhood bar for a pre-shoot drink, let the afternoon wind die down a bit and then headed out. We mainly just wanted to wander around and find neat places to shoot, so that’s exactly what we did. I had a few spots in mind and they did too, so by the end of the evening we had wandered all over the Mission and had quite a variety of locations.
I simply can not wait to photograph Holly and Carlo’s wedding this January. It’s going to be amazing! Until then, hopefully these photos tide you over…
