Although I’m a photographer, a profession that many people consider to be artistic, I don’t consider myself to be an artist… at least not like Chloé is an artist. While I have people and buildings and nature and light to work with when I create my images, Chloé stands in front of a blank canvas and creates something out of nothing. To me, she is a true artist.
Like many artists, Chloé didn’t start out as one. After spending many years in the world of business, she decided to quit her job and go back to school for art. While in school, she went to an exhibit at a museum, which is where she first saw abstract expressionism paintings. Those paintings moved her in a way that influenced the rest of her life.
Now she is an abstract expressionist painter. She wants people to be happy and feel something when they look at her paintings. After a few words from her, take some time to look at her paintings. Hopefully they brighten up your day and make you happy!
In a few of your own words, describe what you do.
I am a Fine Art oil painter who uses colors found in nature to express emotions.
Who is your ideal client?
My ideal client is someone who connects with the idea that certain color combinations can touch our souls and affect our moods. It’s a bonus when they love Dolly Parton as much as I do.
Why do you do what you do?
I am an artist because it is who I am; it is the desire of my soul. I have been blessed with this life and it is my intention to show my gratitude through appreciating the beauty around me. I am an artist because I delight in helping others smile and I honor my creativity. I am an artist because it is exciting to take the road less travelled!
