They say that rain on a wedding day is good luck. Do you know why? A wet knot is harder to untie than a dry knot. If that’s the case, Jessica and Matt’s knot is going to be inseparable. Before their ceremony at Arrowhead, it had been raining off and on all day long. About an hour before the ceremony it looked like it was starting to clear up, but then it started raining again. Jessica had a decision to make… move everything inside or go for it? She chose go for it!
Her oldest son walked her down the aisle as bridesmaids and guests huddled under umbrellas, but there was nothing but smiles to be seen on anyones faces. There’s something about having your ceremony in the rain. I think it draws everyone who is there a little bit closer and definitely makes it more memorable. I didn’t hear a single complaint from anyone all night long.
The rain let up for a bit, but it didn’t last and we got caught in a small monsoon during their couples portraits. With no other choice but to head back to the party, that’s what we did. Once everyone was inside and dry, the party went on as normal.
Thank you Jessica and Matt! You’ve already got a beautiful family and if the rain has any influence, your marriage should be stronger than ever!
